Tell me about this role:
Amentum is on the seeking a dynamic Defence Engineer to join on a permanent basis. You will tackle some of the most challenging projects in the industry. As an Engineering Technical Analyst, you'll dive into complex technical problems, lead cutting-edge investigations and shape innovative solutions that push the boundaries of engineering excellence.
Working with minimal guidance, you'll apply your expertise and judgment to deliver precision results using advanced engineering principles, techniques and methods; making a real impact on mission-critical outcomes.

What will I be doing day to day?
* Provide technical advice on military equipment and systems
* Plan, monitor and control configuration changes
* Undertake project design management tasks
* Process and respond to defects, Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and configuration management issues
* Conduct tests, measurements, investigations and trials on equipment and technical facilities/products
* Prepare, amend and review technical documentation; including drawings, illustrations, specifications, manuals and calculations.
* Undertake installations, testing and modification/maintenance tasks on military equipment and systems
* Contribute to the program's corporate goals and values
What sort of skills do I need?
* Tertiary Engineering qualifications (aerospace, mechanical, maritime, systems or related)
* Demonstrated and recent Defence engineering experience, preferably in a maritime setting
* Demonstrated experience in conducting technical analysis and engineering investigations
* Experience applying logistics/ maintenance management software tools
* Experience in managing data and documentation within configuration management software tools
* Australian citizenship, NV1 security clearance, ITAR Compliance
