What You’ll Do
Design and develop innovative mechanical systems from concept through detailed design that meet functional, performance, and safety requirements.
Architect integrated electromechanical solutions by collaborating with electrical and controls engineers to ensure seamless interaction between mechanical, electrical, and software components.
Prototype and build mechanical systems, bringing ideas to life through iterative testing and refinement.
Apply engineering principles (e.g. tolerance analysis, materials selection, design for manufacture, design for assembly) to ensure system performance in demanding environments.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying design optimisations, simplifying assemblies, and improving efficiency and serviceability.
Ensure design integrity through proper documentation, BOM management, configuration management, and adherence to standards and safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of hands‑on experience in mechanical design, product development, manufacturing engineering or related field.
Strong proficiency in 3D CAD tools (preferably SolidWorks) for detailed part and assembly design.
Solid understanding of GD&T;, and mechanical drafting standards, e.g. ASME Y14.5M, ASME Y14.100.
Experience applying tolerance analysis, DFM, DFA, and DFMEA principles.
Experience working with and maintaining Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
Working knowledge of materials selection, machining, sheet metal, plastic injection moulding, and other standard manufacturing processes.
Proven ability to prototype, assemble, and test mechanical systems.
Familiarity with system integration involving electromechanical components.
Experience in regulated or high‑precision industries (such as pharmaceutical, laboratory automation, or medical devices) is a plus.
