The Role

This role is accountable for rebuilding and accelerating growth in the Australia & New Zealand market by driving field sales performance, developing independent distributor leadership, and increasing customer acquisition, retention, and rank advancement. Success is measured by market growth, leadership depth, and sustained engagement.

The Business Development Specialist partners with the Sales Director and International Headquarters Sales teams to execute locally relevant strategies that mobilize the field, strengthen community connections, and position Plexus as a leading health and wellness brand.

Key Performance Objectives

7. Rebuild and scale the AU/NZ market with consistent new distributor sign-ups, rank advancements, and retention
8. Develop strong local leadership pipelines that drive sustainable field growth
9. Increase customer and Ambassador retention to 55%+
10. Establish Plexus as a recognized wellness leader in the local community

Core Performance Accountabilities

Field Sales & Market Development

11. Execute and support Australia-specific field sales strategies that drive measurable growth
12. Recruit, train, and mentor independent distributors to build sustainable businesses
13. Track sales, rank, and retention data to exceed growth targets
14. Build strong relationships with local leaders, influencers, and community partners
15. Plan and deliver community-based events and initiatives that increase brand awareness, engagement, and sales

Brand Ambassador Enablement

16. Deliver ongoing training, coaching, and leadership development
17. Create and localize training, marketing, and communication tools for the AU/NZ market
18. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and leadership forums that drive action and retention

Market Insights & Strategy Execution

19. Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
20. Partner with marketing and product teams to localize messaging and promotions
21. Provide actionable field insights to inform corporate strategy and product development

Performance Qualifications

22. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (or equivalent experience)
23. 2+ years of experience in Direct Selling / Network Marketing
24. Strong understanding of Australian culture and market dynamics
25. Valid driver's license; ability to travel up to 25%
26. Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills
27. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
28. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and performance reporting tools

Preferred:

29. Experience in health & wellness, beauty, or consumer goods
30. Experience with digital marketing and social media for local market growth
