As an integral part of the Transmission Lines team, you will be part of the installation of overhead Transmission Lines within the major projects team.
There is a 3-year pipeline of works in NSW for the growing team with fly in fly out / drive in drive out options on various rosters up to but not limited to 3 weeks on 1 week off.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Construction Manager responsibilities will include:
* Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and Project Engineers to plan and coordinate daily site activities
* Be responsible for all construction related activities, work crews and plant operating on-site
* Oversee and be accountable for subcontractors with a goal of building relationships with local contractors and vendors
* Attend coordination and progress meetings; make regular trips to sites during construction
* Work closely with Project Engineers to document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process
* Contribute to and own construction management plans and associated documents, ensuring monitor contract obligations
* Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions
* Promote a strong safety culture through leading by example and maintaining a high standard on and off site with field crews
Essential Skills / Qualifications/Experience
* Previous experience working on TransGrid Projects
* C2 Crane & rigging qualifications will be highly regarded
* Valid "C" class manual driver's license with the ability to upgrade to HR (HR license desirable)
* Demonstrated ability to work safely on transmission networks
* Values teamwork & safety as a priority
* East Coast Based
