We are seeking a leader who can foster a culture of safety, collaboration and continuous improvement to drive technical services for world-class agricultural research and teaching.
This is a full-time role based in Launceston requiring a proactive, solutions-focused individual with strong stakeholder engagement skills and operational planning experience.
Main Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a technical team ensuring safe, efficient, effective and high-quality delivery of teaching, research and field programs across the state.
* Promote and maintain a strong Work Health and Safety (WHS) culture.
* Manage resources and cost recovery across assigned budgets.
* Provide high-level technical advice and input into strategic planning and progress reporting.
Requirements
* Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in research, teaching and operations.
* Ability to manage teams with strong interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated high level organisational and decision-making skills.
* Experience in developing and implementing safety and risk management procedures.
Salary Details
The remuneration package includes a base salary within the range of $114,282 to $129,943 per annum, plus superannuation.
