PERFORMING ARTS TEACHER (MUSIC / DANCE)
St John's School is a co‐educational primary school from Pre‐Kindergarten to Year Six, serving families in the Dominican tradition. We are seeking an enthusiastic, innovative, and dedicated teacher to join our collaborative team. The successful applicant will be confident in teaching the performing arts learning area, committed to excellence, and supportive of the Catholic ethos of our school. Applications from teachers who are passionate about dance, music and/or drama are welcomed.
Selection Criteria
* A strong understanding of and commitment to the mission of Catholic education, with the ability to contribute to the spiritual and community life of the school
* A thorough knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and the ability to plan, implement, and differentiate learning programmes effectively
* Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build authentic relationships across the school community
* Ability to coordinate the school choir and prepare students for assemblies, masses, liturgies and whole school performances including the Christmas Concert
* Be willing to participate in extra‐curricular activities to build a strong Catholic school community
* A sense of humour, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching, with high expectations for both self and students
Qualifications Required
* 4‐Year Trained
* Current Working With Children Check Card and Full TRBWA registration
* Accreditation or progress towards teaching RE in a Catholic school
