Primary objective
Provide high-level and timely expert advice, executive and administrative support to the Deputy Chief Executive, Enabling
Services.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Facilitate management of and provide expert advice and support on emergent and diverse issues, organisational
complexity, policy and administrative processes as appropriate.
2. Provide high-level administrative and secretariat support to required Committees and working groups.
3. Act as a first point of contact for advice and issues management for the Enabling Services Division.
4. Provide high-level research, analysis and strategic advice to the Deputy Chief Executive Enabling Services.
5. Prepare a range of briefings, Ministerial, Cabinet Submissions, correspondence and recommendations in conjunction
with the Deputy Chief Executive and the divisional leaders within the Enabling Services division.
6. Develop and maintain strong working relationships and collaborative partnerships with a range of stakeholders and
provide advice and support to achieve outcomes through high-level communication with the agency, other government
agencies and external stakeholders.
1. Provide management and oversight of divisional projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Extensive experience in providing high-level secretarial and executive support services and advice, including the ability
to identify issues, solutions and continuous improvement opportunities that deliver on corporate and strategic
objectives.
1. Demonstrated leadership and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, including proven
ability to influence and negotiate successful outcomes.
1. Proven extensive organisational and management skills to manage multiple and competing priorities within critical time
frames/deadlines, within a busy and complex work environment.
1. Highly developed written communication and report writing skills, including the ability to analyse, prepare and edit a
wide range of correspondence and reports with a high level of attention to detail.
1. Demonstrated high degree of judgement, the ability to understand the broader operating environment and deal
appropriately with matters of a highly sensitive or political nature.
1. Proven high-level initiative and motivation, ability to work autonomously, exercise discretion, maintain confidentiality,
problem solve and make appropriate decisions at the delegated level of responsibility.
Desirable
1. Relevant tertiary skills in business, finance, management, project management or similar.
