Key Leadership Role
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to oversee daily operations and lead our Kalgoorlie-based team with confidence.
Primary Responsibilities
* Oversee the workflow of daily activities, ensuring smooth operation on the workshop floor.
* Work closely with the crew while managing safety protocols, quality control, and maintenance tasks.
* Facilitate communication between the team and the workshop coordinator for efficient workflow.
Key Performance Indicators
* Ensure the effective completion of vehicle inspections and testing for safety and functionality.
* Plan and coordinate daily activities by allocating tasks and scheduling jobs efficiently.
* Maintain high-quality workmanship within set timeframes, meeting safety and performance standards.
* Comply with strict health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all operations.
* Identify hazards, defects, and repair needs through regular workshop inspections.
* Develop and mentor staff skills in areas such as safety practices, best techniques, and new technologies.
* Foster a positive team culture, encouraging collaboration, productivity, and accountability.
* Act as the primary point of contact between the crew and the workshop coordinator.
* Stay proactive in identifying and addressing vehicle issues and maintenance plans to ensure continuous fleet performance.
* Review and sign off on service sheets, maintaining accurate records and compliance.
* Provide urgent after-hours breakdown assistance when needed.
Requirements
* Trade qualification (Mechanical/Heavy Vehicle preferred)
* At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
* Strong knowledge of heavy vehicles and transport equipment
* Experience with truck and trailer repairs, preferably in the road transport industry
* Relevant tickets and licenses (e.g., Confined Space, Working at Heights, HRWL – LF EWP)
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination
