Join Bolton Clarke as a Procurement Specialist, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the reliable, cost‑effective supply of essential goods and services across the organisation. Working closely with the Procurement Manager, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will manage day‑to‑day procurement operations, support category and sourcing strategies, and drive strong supplier performance across the contract lifecycle.
This role combines hands‑on operational procurement with market analysis, supplier and contract management, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will build strong supplier relationships, support negotiations and contract outcomes, manage product and supplier lifecycles, and identify opportunities for savings, innovation and sustainability. With a strong focus on risk management, compliance and stakeholder support, you will help ensure continuity of supply while delivering value and positive commercial outcomes for the organisation.

What you’ll be doing
* Manage daily procurement administration including invoices, rebates, reporting and stakeholder support.
* Oversee product and category lifecycle processes, including onboarding new products, retiring obsolete items and managing manufacturer recalls.
* Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to assess demand, risks, trends and opportunities across assigned categories.
* Build strong supplier relationships, monitor performance and support contract negotiation and compliance.
* Track procurement activities, contract milestones and outcomes, maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.
* Identify cost‑saving opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement, innovation and sustainability projects.
* Monitor category and procurement risks, escalating issues as needed to ensure supply continuity.
We’d love to hear from you if you have
* 5+ years’ experience in procurement, sourcing or category management.
* Strong supplier management capability, including performance oversight and support with negotiations.
* Commercial acumen and understanding of pricing, contract terms and compliance requirements.
* Experience delivering cost savings or process improvement initiatives.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with intermediate Excel skills.
* Confident communication and relationship‑building skills with suppliers and stakeholders.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., business degree or CIPSA membership) are highly regarded.
