We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Events Operations Assistant Manager to support the Events Operations Manager in leading our team and ensuring seamless execution of all events across the island.

Your Role
As the Events Operations Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in delivering efficient, world-class event operations.
Working closely with the Events Operations Manager, you'll oversee the planning, preparation, and delivery of events while maintaining the highest service standards and operational efficiency.
Where you'll make an impact
Oversee the preparation, planning, and execution of all events
Liaise with clients, event organisers, and internal departments to deliver seamless experiences
Assist in rostering, stock control, requisitions, and operational logistics
Maintain compliance with WH&S; and liquor legislation across all events
Support and mentor Events Operations Supervisors to drive service excellence
Conduct pre-event staff briefings and post-event debriefings to ensure continuous improvement
Collaborate with chefs, coordinators, and management teams to deliver exceptional outcomes
Ensure all equipment, freight, and hire requirements are managed effectively and on time
What we're looking for
You're an experienced events professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
With the ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team under pressure, you'll bring both operational expertise and a customer-focused mindset.
To be successful, you'll need:
Previous experience in conferences and events operations
Strong skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel or equivalent)
Nationally Recognised Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) – Essential
Current Manual Driver's Licence – Essential
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
A flexible and reliable approach to working hours and rosters
