The program provides an opportunity for over 8,000 government and non-government students to trial for approximately 1,000 places within 48 teams across 19 sports to represent Victoria at School Sport Australia Championships. About the Department The department provides a wide range of learning and development support and services. The department provides policy leadership, plans for the future of education in Victoria and leads key cross-sector collaboration. The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres. About the Division Statewide Programs and Tech Schools Division Within School Education Programs and Support (SEPS), the Statewide Programs and Tech Schools Division (SPaTS) delivers policy, programs and resources to:
* help all students thrive at schools, particularly those facing financial hardship
* help teachers deliver the curriculum, both inside and outside the classroom, in ways that support student learning and wellbeing – through Tech Schools and STEM centres, School Sports Victoria, swimming programs, State Schools Spectacular, the Strategic Partnerships Program and English as an Additional Language resources
* support priority cohorts of students, including CALD and refugee students, and rural and regional students
School Sport Victoria is part of the Statewide Programs and Tech Schools Division. About the Role The purpose of this role is to support the planning, budget and coordination for the delivery of the Team Vic program across a selection of state representative sporting teams. The program provides an opportunity for over 8,000 government and non-government students to trial for approximately 1,000 places within 48 teams across 19 sports to represent Victoria at School Sport Australia Championships. The role will also coordinate the student registration process for the Team Vic program and support the management of information on the School Sport Victoria website. It will also support and advise Team Vic officials in the management of their sporting teams as well as handling customer service enquiries and problem solving to support program delivery. Responsibilities of the role include:
* providing administration support for the Team Vic program, including monitoring, directing and responding to correspondence received via email and phone.
* managing the registration platform, including tracking and organising data.
* Supporting the management of information on the School Sport Victoria website
* liaising and working with Team Officials and volunteers to support the delivery of the Team Vic program.
* monitoring and acquiting equipment used to support the Team Vic program.
* assisting in the coordination and delivery of School Sport Australia championship activities.
* contributing to projects including reporting, monitoring of budgets and tracking progress.
This position reports to the State Teams Manager within School Sport Victoria.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience A Bachelor degree in Education, Sports Management/Administration or related is desired. Previous experience in sports administration or school sport is desired.
