On behalf of our client, a high profile Energy Corporation, Brunel is actively sourcing a Planner to develop plan, schedule and coordinate short, medium and long-term Operation and Maintenance activities for a power generation plant and facilities. This will be a 12 month contract with a possible view to extend located south of the river near Kwinana.
About this role
An insight into your responsibilities will include:
Coordinate major overhauls and other strategic maintenance programmes
Organise the availability of resources, both material and human, to undertake maintenance and operations activities to meet contractual obligations
Organise transport, logistics and contractors for internal and external maintenance work at various locations within Western Australia, interstate and overseas
Develop work scopes and schedules for internal and external maintenance work
Request quotes and raise purchase requisitions to vendors in line with the requirements of the scope.
Organise maintenance outage projects in accordance with budget, to time targets whilst maintaining quality standards
Management of service contracts with internal and external service providers
Assist in the identification and management of strategic and rotational spares holdings
Prepare budgets for the maintenance of plant
About you
A Trade Certificate or relevant qualifications in Generation or a similar industry
Experienced user in SAP
Skilled in the use of scheduling and project management software such as MS Project / Primavera 6
Maintenance management, planning/scheduling and contracting techniques
Experience in relevant safety and environmental management legislation, standards, policies and procedures
Extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of electricity generation plant and facilities OR relevant industry experience is preferred
Hold a C Class Driver's Licence
