It does this by supporting lifelong learning and healthy development, strengthening families and helping to equip people with the skills and knowledge for a 21st century economy and society.About the DivisionIT Services Branch enhances the service and support provided to corporate staff, teachers, principals and school administrators by efficiently and effectively managing infrastructure, security and application incidents and requests.The function of the 'IT Services Branch, IT Operations Unit' is as follows:Maintain and support the infrastructure and systems to deliver the capabilities and services to meet required business service levels.About the RoleThe Technology Officer – VIP&AV plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of high-level information technology services across the department.
This role provides dedicated technical assistance to a range of key stakeholders, including but not limited to the Secretary's Roundup (weekly), Deputy Secretary, Executive Directors, Executive Assistants, and the Executive Hub.The incumbent offers tailored guidance and innovative technology solutions, ensuring seamless technology adoption and a high standard of service delivery.
This includes conducting user training, offering proactive and timely IT support, and fostering strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.Operating within the VIP and OST teams, the Technology Officer works collaboratively to ensure smooth, reliable, and secure digital experiences for the department's leadership and executive operations.Attributes * Demonstrated ability to deliver IT support services in a hybrid work environment.
* Setting up and assisting with video conferencing audio visual presentations, potentially with large numbers of attendees.
Includes being able to trouble shoot and resolve technical issues in a high-pressure environment * Strong technical capability with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, ServiceNow, Webex and inTune mobile device management platforms (MDM).
* Proven experience in IT asset management and support logistics.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to train users and provide clear technical advice.
* Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise effectively in a dynamic setting.
