About the Role:
We are seeking a Speech Pathologist to join our team and provide life-changing speech pathology services to individuals with disabilities. As a Speech Pathologist, you will work in diverse settings, including homes, schools, and community centers, utilizing evidence-based measurement tools and your skills in assessment to create therapy plans that support participants in achieving their goals.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech pathology services to adolescents and young adults aged 9-25 who require support with communication and swallowing difficulties.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, psychologists, and social workers, to develop comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs of each participant.
- Conduct assessments and develop reports that outline the individual's strengths, challenges, and recommended interventions.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Current registration with the Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) as a practicing Speech Pathologist.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
