About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and friendly individual to join our team as a Medical Support Officer. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring that our reception area is clean, organised and welcoming.
Key Responsibilities
* Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner, making them feel at ease from the moment they arrive.
* Schedule appointments and manage patient bookings efficiently and effectively, minimising wait times and maximising productivity.
* Handle patient enquiries and provide information about our services, responding to queries and concerns in a timely and empathetic manner.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring that all relevant information is recorded and stored securely.
* Assist with the preparation of patient files and documentation, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
* Provide administrative support to our clinical team as required, assisting with tasks such as data entry, filing and photocopying.
* Adhere to all relevant medical and administrative protocols, ensuring that our high standards of patient care are maintained at all times.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact sensitively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with a proven track record of handling multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
* A friendly, professional and empathetic demeanour, with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
* A keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain accurate records, with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
