About the role
A Grade Earthworks is seeking an experienced Earthworks Site Supervisor to join our team on the Lumsden Point project in Port Hedland. This is a full-time FIFO role (3:1 roster) focused on overseeing the successful delivery of the earthworks program.
What you'll be doing
* Coordinate and direct on-site earthworks activities, ensuring the project stays on target and is delivered to the highest quality standards
* Manage and oversee a team of operators, including delegating tasks, monitoring progress, and providing guidance and support
* Liaise with client (Acciona), subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
* Identify and resolve any issues or risks that arise during construction, making decisions to keep projects on track
* Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Provide regular progress updates and reporting to project managers and other key stakeholders
* Operate plant on an 'as and when needed' basis
What we're looking for
* Significant experience (5+ years) as an Earthworks Site Supervisor or similar role in the civil construction industry in a FIFO environment
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with the client, contractors, and other stakeholders
* Thorough understanding of construction and earthworks processes, practices, and regulations, particularly in a FIFO environment.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and project plans
* Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address challenges on site
