As a Senior Psychologist, you will be working at our Southport campus, providing recovery-oriented psychology services to adults aged 18 years or older experiencing complex mental ill health.

About Adult and Older Persons Mental Health
Mental Health Services comprises acute mental health care units located at Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Hospital campus. Our teams provide world-class, compassionate, person-centred mental healthcare that fosters recovery for consumers, families, and carers dealing with complex mental health and addiction issues.
About Your New Role
You will play a pivotal role in leading clinical excellence, mentoring staff, and shaping service delivery as part of the senior leadership team. With your strong clinical skills, expertise in therapy, and extensive experience in complex mental health case formulation and care, you will provide strong clinical leadership supporting both consumers and colleagues. As a clinical leader, you will drive best-practice interventions, ensuring consumers receive high-quality psychological care to support their recovery and transition from hospital to the community. Your role will be flexible and may involve moving across clinical areas.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-level clinical services in accordance with professional standards.
Work collaboratively with clinicians, multidisciplinary staff, service providers, and non-government organisations.
Provide high-level clinical advice and reports, and collaborate with team members.
Contribute to the development of clinical practice procedures and protocols.
Qualifications and Experience
A tertiary degree in Psychology.
AHPRA Registration.
A postgraduate degree, e.g., Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, and Board Approved Supervisor status are highly desirable.
Developed knowledge and experience working as a senior psychologist in acute mental health.
Driver Licence.
Evidence of vaccination or ability to be vaccinated against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Hepatitis B.
Tuberculosis screening to determine if vaccination may be required.
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover the cost).

Base salary ranging from $4,912.70 to $5,286.40, or $64.64 – $69.55 per hour.
