The Role
As a PR Account Manager at Howatson+Company, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the development and execution of strategic and creative PR campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients. From crafting compelling angles and pitching media outlets to supporting social media strategies and building relationships with key stakeholders, you will have the opportunity to contribute to every aspect of our clients' PR initiatives. This is an ideal position for someone with a passion for storytelling, excellent communication skills, and a desire to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The Account Manager will work across a mix of clients and sectors, spanning B2B/Corporate and Consumer/Lifestyle PR and be excited to learn about new topics and subject matter.

A Day in the Life
* Collaborate with agency teams to develop and implement strategic PR plans that align with client objectives and goals.
* Write and edit press materials, including press releases, media pitches, fact sheets, and bylined articles.
* Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers across relevant industries and ensure media lists are accurate and up to date.
* Monitor media coverage and social media channels to identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues.
* Provide regular updates and reports to clients on PR activities, results, and recommendations.
* Stay informed about industry trends, news, and best practices to continually enhance client strategies and campaigns.
How will we know you are the one?
* 2-3 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field, preferably within an agency setting. You could be an SAE looking to step up into an AM role, or an established AM looking for your next challenge.
* Be excited to work across a mix of accounts, with this portfolio spanning across consumer/ lifestyle, corporate/B2B and financial PR.
* Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills and able to build a strong rapport with clients and colleagues.
* Ability to multitask, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* You have a mix of skills and passions; be it in media relations, social media, creator programs, content events, corporate communications and stakeholder management.
* A newshound, who loves to read, follows, watch and listen to a wide range of media - always in the know of the news agenda and current affairs.
* Knowledge of social media platforms and the role they play within the PR landscape, and in culture.
* Creative but balanced with a high level of attention to detail.
* Proactive, enthusiastic and eager to learn, you take pride in your work.
* A desire to be part of an agency making its mark in Australia and internationally.
