Prosecutor Role
The Prosecution Services provides legal advice and functions to members of the Service on matters before various courts. A medium-sized establishment, Mt Isa Police Prosecution Corps is responsible for providing a prosecution service in the area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a prosecution service for the assigned area.
* Represent the Service and its members in court proceedings and applications.
* Offer legal advice on court processes within the area of responsibility.
* Monitor the quality of briefs of evidence provided by police.
* Liaise with stakeholders, including the Queensland Police Service, the legal profession, government agencies, and the community.
* Contribute to the development and provision of legal research, argument, submissions, opinion, and advice.
* Maintain high standards of performance and conduct in daily work activities.
Requirements:
* Admission as a legal practitioner in Queensland or eligibility for immediate admission.
