Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Rehabilitation Consultant to support individuals in returning to work through workplace rehabilitation, counseling, injury prevention, and employment support.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage client cases with efficient administrative support from assistants.
* Apply clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes.
* Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs with employers and employees.
* Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals.
* Work across various schemes including workers compensation, CTP, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
* Assist clients in achieving return to health and work outcomes.
* Conduct initial, worksite, and vocational assessments to support return to health, work, and life goals.
* Provide injury prevention and consultancy services including group mental health training, Employee Assistance Program services, Psychological Functional Capacity Evaluations, and Adjustment to Injury Counselling.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy.
* General or Provisional AHPRA registration, or full ASORC/AASW membership.
* Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation preferred.
* Strong communication and time management skills.
* Compassion, kindness, and empathy.
* Current Queensland Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
