About the Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Shutdown Supervisor to join our growing Queensland team in Mackay. This permanent, full-time role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in delivering high-quality work while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead shutdown crews with a hands-on approach
* Liaise with clients and internal teams to build strong working relationships
* Scope pre-shutdown works to ensure safe and timely execution
* Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company KPIs
* Provide tools, resources, and guidance to ensure successful project delivery
* Complete post-shutdown reporting, including timesheets and project close-out
Qualifications & Experience
* Mechanical trade qualification
* Minimum 5 years' experience in mining or shutdown environments
* Proven experience with bulk material handling equipment (e.g. crushers, feeders, scrubbers, belt filters, pumps)
* At least 2 years in a supervisory role
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook); Microsoft Project exposure desirable
* Current certifications:
* Mining Supervisor G189 & Risk Facilitator G2
* CBM (Coal Board Medical)
* Standard 11
* Confined Space
* Gas Test Atmospheres
* Working at Heights
