An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Controller to join a rapidly growing energy platform delivering a multi-billion-dollar pipeline of renewable energy projects across Australia's National Electricity Market (NEM).
This role will sit within the Program Management Office (PMO) and play a critical role in supporting the delivery of utility‐scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), wind farms, hybrid energy assets, and associated transmission infrastructure.

The Opportunity
As Senior Project Controller, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining integrated project schedules, supporting project reporting and cost controls, and managing risk and opportunity processes across a portfolio of major energy infrastructure developments.
This role offers the opportunity to work closely with development, engineering, delivery, and executive leadership teams in a high‐performing and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Scheduling
* Develop, baseline, and maintain integrated project schedules using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
* Perform schedule updates and incorporate progress data from consultants, contractors, and internal teams
* Conduct critical path analysis, float analysis, and schedule risk assessments
* Develop and maintain Level 1–4 schedules with clear traceability across all project phases
* Identify schedule variances, delays, and recovery opportunities
* Coordinate schedule inputs across engineering, procurement, and construction activities
* Manage schedule change control processes and incorporate approved variations
Project Reporting
* Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports
* Develop dashboards and visual reporting tools for project and executive stakeholders
* Produce look‐ahead programmes aligned with master schedules
* Support governance documentation including project controls plans and reporting frameworks
* Coordinate and validate contractor and consultant progress reporting
Cost Controls
* Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets and forecasts
* Assist with cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, and cost‐to‐complete analysis
* Review contractor progress claims and support invoice approvals
* Identify cost variances and emerging commercial risks
* Support change management and cost impact assessments
Risk & Opportunity Management
* Maintain project risk and opportunity registers throughout the project lifecycle
* Facilitate risk workshops and stakeholder review sessions
* Track mitigation actions and opportunity realisation activities
* Support quantitative and qualitative risk analysis activities
* Escalate emerging project risks and provide recommendations to leadership
About You
You will be a highly organised and commercially minded project controls professional with experience working on large‐scale infrastructure, renewables, or energy projects.
Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline
* 7+ years' experience in Project Controls, Planning, or PMO functions on major infrastructure or renewable energy projects
* Expert‐level proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
* Strong experience in project reporting, scheduling, and cost controls
* Demonstrated experience maintaining risk and opportunity registers
* Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and Power Query
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving capability
