About the role Provide legal advice and representation to clients of Legal Aid NSW, including in more complex matters, in accordance with Legal Aid NSW policies and guidelines in order to contribute to the implementation of Legal Aid NSW's mission to deliver high quality legal services to our clients and to assist them to resolve their legal problems.
Supervise and lead junior legal staff in achieving this aim.
About you We have an Ongoing Senior Solicitor (LO Grade V) opportunity in the new Parole and Prevention Orders Legal Service (PPO).
This role will form part of the HROU leadership team, supporting the Solicitor in Charge in both the management and future strategic direction of the unit.
You will be a highly motivated, experienced, and collaborative team player with demonstrated ability to balance the demands of a complex and high-volume legal practice, a vulnerable and challenging client group, and supervision/mentoring of other solicitors.
You will also have the skills to navigate various internal and external stakeholder relationships, including as a representative of Legal Aid NSW with other justice sector agencies.
We may use this recruitment to create a talent pool for similar ongoing or temporary vacancies we have over the next 18 months.
