About the Role
This role is responsible for executing Built Environs' L&D roadmap and strategy, ensuring our people have the skills, knowledge and leadership capability needed to drive business performance and growth. You will play a critical role in driving organisational performance by building technical, professional and leadership capability while supporting Built Environs' strong employee engagement through aligned learning and organisational development initiatives. Reporting to the GM of HR, you will translate the L&D roadmap into practical solutions by operationalising learning programs/initiatives and setting strong foundations for organisational growth. With an initial focus on execution, there is scope to contribute to the ongoing evolution of the L&D Strategy, with opportunities over time to review and refine plans to support our people.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate and embed the existing Learning & Development Strategy and multi-year roadmap across the business
* Develop and maintain competency frameworks and career pathways for Built Environs employees.
* Partner one‐on‐one with senior leaders and subject matter experts to design and implement practical, fit‐for‐purpose capability programmes
* Support the shift from ad‐hoc training to structured, proactive and cohort‐based development approaches that are sustainable and supportive of operations
* Plan, coordinate and deliver programmes across multiple regions, ranging from onboarding, leadership, technical and professional capability programmes
* Manage learning systems (LMS/HRIS), ensuring accurate data capture, reporting and insights to support decision‐making
* Provide timely and accurate L&D reporting for HR and business requirements
* Engage and manage external providers to ensure quality, cost‐effective delivery
* Monitor programme effectiveness and recommend improvements to strengthen impact and engagement
* Contribute to the ongoing refinement of learning plans as business priorities evolve
About You
* Experience in L&D, Capability or Organisational Development roles
* Demonstrated experience implementing structured learning, capability or organisational development initiatives within operational environments
* Exposure to talent management, senior development programmes and/or workforce planning processes
* Strong stakeholder partnering skills, with the ability to translate business needs into practical learning solutions
* Ability to work independently and influence across senior stakeholders
* Comfortable operating in dynamic environments where priorities may shift
* Strong organisational and project coordination skills
* Experience with LMS/HRIS systems and reporting
* Experience designing and/or facilitating learning programmes (desirable)
* Relevant tertiary qualification in HR, Learning & Development or related discipline (desirable)
* Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure or similar industries – preferred but not mandatory
