Position Purpose
As an IVF Nurse Coordinator, you will be a trusted clinical guide throughout each patient's fertility journey. You will coordinate personalised treatment cycles, translate complex information into supportive and empowering conversations, and ensure every stage of care reflects excellence and empathy. Working closely with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams, you will champion safe, high‐quality, patient‐centred care while providing warmth, education, and reassurance. This role offers meaningful impact, professional growth, and the chance to help people realise their dream of parenthood.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate end‐to‐end patient treatment cycles (IVF/ART), ensuring timely bookings, clear instructions, and seamless transitions across clinical touchpoints to deliver safe, patient‐centred care.
* Perform high‐quality ultrasound examinations including follicle scans, using independent judgement to identify and differentiate between normal and pathological findings and seeking further advice from Fertility Specialist or Sonographer as needed.
* Manage theatre and procedure lists, resource allocation (clinicians, anaesthetists, nursing), and room scheduling to optimise patient flow and minimise delays.
* Provide clear, empathetic communication of test results and treatment information; proactively follow up to address questions, concerns, and next steps.
* Conduct patient education sessions independently, using accessible language and culturally respectful approaches to support informed decision‐making.
* Maintain accurate, timely documentation in City Fertility systems (advanced user), including consents, referrals, action items and clinical notes that meet NSQHS documentation expectations.
* Always uphold patient privacy and confidentiality; ensure secure handling of sensitive information across clinics and satellite sites as directed by the Privacy Act 1988.
* Collaborate closely with doctors and the broader team to ensure care plans are coordinated, risks are identified early, and escalation pathways are clear.
* Support and supervise Level 1 and new nursing personnel; provide on‐the‐job training, feedback and mentoring to build capability and confidence.
* Monitor and manage nursing consumables and equipment (stock control, re‐ordering, periodic stocktakes) to maintain readiness and reduce waste.
What are we looking for?
* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (meeting NMBA standards); experience in follicle scanning will be highly regarded.
* Postgraduate qualification in Nursing and experience in IVF/Women's Health.
* Skilled in clinical systems and MS Office, with meticulous documentation practices.
* Strong communication skills, empathy, and ability to mentor and collaborate effectively.
* Eligibility under the Nurses Award 2020 (typically Level 2–3 for coordination roles).
Why Join Us?
* A supportive, inclusive workplace culture.
* Opportunities for professional growth and development.
* The chance to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives.
* Access to global expertise through the CHA IVF network.
