Mechanical Fitters | Yatala | TBM Rebuild Project | OT Available
We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join a specialised team based in Yatala, working on the refurbishment of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs). This is a unique opportunity to be involved in large-scale equipment rebuilds with ongoing work and overtime available.
About the Role
* Based in Yatala
* Current hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
* Project ramp‐up expected to 10‐hour days in coming months
* Ongoing work with strong pipeline
* Opportunity to work on large, complex machinery
Pay Rates
* Competitive hourly rates – TBC (based on experience)
* Overtime paid at penalty rates
Scope of Work
* Refurbishment of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs)
* Disassembly and reassembly of mechanical components
* Manufacturing and modification of parts as requiredTesting and commissioning of equipment
* Completing reports and documentation
* Working collaboratively within a team environment
To Be Successful, You Will Need
* Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter
* Strong experience in heavy mechanical maintenance or rebuilds
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Experience working on large-scale machinery (highly regarded)
* Current driver's licence and reliable transport
* Ability to pass a pre‐employment medical and drug & alcohol test
Highly Regarded
* Experience with mining, tunnelling, or heavy industrial equipment
* Confined Space / Working at Heights
* Forklift or EWP licence
