Regenerate Talent is working with an international clean energy and sustainable infrastructure developer, committed to driving Australia's net-zero emissions transition. We're now seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead late-stage development of large-scale energy storage BESS projects from financial close, through construction and intro operation.
This is a pivotal opportunity to shape Australia's clean-energy transition by delivering complex, utility-scale infrastructure projects with a highly regarded and well-backed global organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take
end-to-end ownership
of project delivery: from late-stage development through construction to operations.
* Lead the owner's delivery team
(3–4 head office staff and Owners Site Representative).
* Manage interfaces
across Battery Supply & Install, Balance of Plant, and Grid Connection contracts.
* Act as central coordinator for contractors, Owners Engineer, and stakeholders.
* Administer contracts
, enforce obligations, and manage claims, variations, and disputes.
* Oversee construction scheduling, progress, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
* Oversee commissioning and testing, ensuring successful handover into operations.
* Based in the Sydney office
with travel as required to site offices.
What we're looking for:
* Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Project Manager, or similar role on energy infrastructure projects delivered under a split contract or multi-contract structure
* Strong understanding of the development and delivery of utility-scale energy projects (BESS strongly preferred).
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contractors and complex interfaces.
* Excellent contract administration and commercial management skills.
* Experience and comfort getting things done within a lean team delivering key workstreams as well as providing strong leadership to both the site-based and head office project teams
* Experience engaging and driving Owners Engineers and third-party technical advisors.
* Excellent knowledge of Australian construction and WHS legislation.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
