The Opportunity
The Camp Attendant plays a vital role in the daily operations of a remote worksite camp, ensuring the comfort, cleanliness, and safety of all facilities for crew members. This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment where operational needs can change with little notice.
Key Responsibilities:
Accommodation Cleaning & Room Management
* Perform daily cleaning of crew rooms, including making beds and cleaning bathrooms.
* Conduct departure cleans on change-out days or as personnel transition in and out.
* Assist in the coordination of room allocation and cleaning schedules for incoming and outgoing crew.
Laundry Services
* Wash, dry, fold, and organise crew clothing and linen.
* Ensure the correct and safe use of cleaning chemicals.
Facility Upkeep (General Areas)
* Maintain cleanliness and order in shared spaces such as the laundry, gym, rec room, first aid room, and dry store.
* Keep washing machines, dryers, and other equipment clean and well-maintained.
Vehicle Maintenance
* Clean both the interior and exterior of camp vehicles regularly.
* Perform weekly vehicle checks, ensure fuel levels are adequate, and report any issues.
Food & Supply Logistics
* Assist in unloading and organising food deliveries from supply trucks.
* Safely deliver meals to the rig, following all site-specific safety protocols.
Outdoor Duties
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of outdoor areas.
* Clean grease traps daily and manage bin emptying and rubbish removal.
* Monitor water, diesel, and STP levels and conduct daily checks.
Camp Operations & Maintenance Support
* Conduct consistent safety documentation and hazard reporting.
* Understand and perform basic checks on camp infrastructure including trailers, generators, plumbing, water, and sewage systems.
* Troubleshoot issues and escalate maintenance needs promptly.
* Assist with camp moves, including packing/unpacking trailers, connecting services, and setting up signage and walkways.
Key Skills & Attributes:
* Strong time management and adaptability.
* Good communication skills for coordinating with diverse teams.
* A proactive attitude toward safety, cleanliness, and problem-solving.
* Ability to work in remote and often changing environments.
* Physically capable of manual labour and outdoor work.

About you
* A positive, can-do attitude is what we're looking for. Having previous experience in a similar role, or in hospitality will work in your favour but is not mandatory.
* You will be working 12 hour shifts so need to physically fit.
* You must be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol screen.
