What you'll be doing
The Non-Clinical Aged Care Needs Scheduler provides essential, high level administrative support and manages assessment scheduling functions for the Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS). This role ensures the efficient and effective delivery of assessments by performing clerical tasks and maintaining accurate client records, including updating key service events. The position directly interfaces with referring services, clients, and other healthcare teams.
The Aged Care Assessment Service is responsible for assessing the needs of frail older clients and their carers across public and private hospitals, community settings, and residential aged care facilities within the Northern Sydney Local Health District NSLHD. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, carers, health professionals, and service providers. Proven experience in preparing accurate documentation, responding to enquiries promptly, and conveying information clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats.
* Proven ability to manage competing tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated experience in identifying issues, implementing practical solutions, and prioritising workload to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
* Demonstrated computer skills including proficiency with email applications, e.g., Microsoft Outlook, with Microsoft Office and with patient record systems.
* Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and systems, with a commitment to ongoing learning and the application of emerging tools to support efficient service delivery.
