What We're Looking For: We are looking for a suitable candidate to join the Financial Governance and Accounting Branch, in the Transactional Finance team. The Branch performs a range of accounting activities including financial management and reporting, Treasury, Audit management and Insurance management, as well as the transactional finance functions of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
About this role: The primary responsibility of the Accounts Payable role is ensuring processing of payments and financial transactions to suppliers are accurate and conducted in a timely manner.
Responsibilities of this role: The key responsibilities of the role include:
* Working with in-system automations to progress invoices through the finance system and troubleshoot any invoicing issues
* Supporting business users with queries related to purchase orders, corporate credit cards or invoicing
* Responding to enquiries or resolving discrepancies raised by suppliers, banks and/or business areas
* Creating and maintaining all supplier master data, ensuring fraud management processes are adhered to
* Contributing to the completion of month end tasks, including period close activities, reports and reconciliations
* Undertaking credit card administration processes
* Contributing to process optimisation and continuous improvement and working with the Transactional Finance Team Leader to implement change.
Who we are looking for: We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications, knowledge and experience:
* Relevant qualifications in Accounting or Finance (or similar).
* A minimum of three years' experience in performing Accounts Payable processes (or similar).
* Experience in the use of large ERP systems and Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel.
* Broad knowledge of finance and accounting processes and controls.
