About this role
Morgans' Corporate Advisory team is seeking a high‐calibre Corporate Finance Analyst to support the execution of equity capital markets (ECM) transactions, M&A mandates, IPOs, secondary raisings, and strategic advisory assignments. The role is based in Melbourne and offers end‐to‐end deal exposure in a market‐leading team with deep industry expertise. Morgans' ECM Leadership
In 2025, Morgans were defined by the successful execution of several landmark transactions across the Australian capital markets. Each Morgans deal demonstrates a capability to manage complex structures, support strategic corporate activity and deliver high-quality outcomes for both issuers and investors. Transactions included:
* $830m in Firmus Technologies pre-IPOs, with the $500m tranche the largest ASX‐oriented pre‐IPO ever undertaken.
* $750m GemLife IPO, the largest IPO completed in 2025.
* $588m TPG Telecom Reinvestment Plan, an innovative structure designed to strengthen free‐float capitalisation.
* $452m Eagers Automotive Limited Automotive Entitlement Offer that facilitated a transformational M&A transaction.
* $350m Challenger Limited IM LiFTS Notes IPO, which introduced an innovative structure to the listed debt market.
Transaction execution & advisory
* Support execution of IPO, pre‐IPO, placements, rights issues, SPPs and block trades across ASX‐listed and private clients.
* Assist on‐buy side and sell side M&A, strategic reviews, divestments, and takeover defence assignments.
* Prepare and manage data rooms, due diligence processes, transaction timetables, and regulatory documentation.
Financial analysis & modelling
* Build and review DCF, trading comparables, precedent transactions and accretion/dilution models.
* Conduct valuation analysis, scenario modelling, and sensitivity analysis to support client advice and investment committee papers.
Pitching & client materials
* Prepare pitch books, IMs, board papers, market updates, and investor presentations.
* Contribute to development of thematic client ideas and sector insights in partnership with research and institutional sales.
Stakeholder & deal management
* Collaborate closely with senior bankers to manage transaction workstreams and junior team members.
* Consult with lawyers, accountants, regulators, institutional investors, and internal research desks throughout deal execution.
What you will bring
* Minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related disciplines.
* Experience in relevant fields (Corporate finance, investment banking, ECM, or transaction services).
* High curiosity for equity capital markets and investing.
* Advanced skills with MS Office, financial modelling, and valuation capabilities.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills with senior stakeholders.
* Commercial judgment and strong diligence.
* Ability to manage multiple live transactions in a fast‐paced advisory environment.
* CA / CPA / CFA (or progress toward) viewed favourably.
