External Member – Certification Committee (Voluntary Role)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified external member to join the Certification Committee of the RSPCA Approved Farming Scheme. This voluntary position plays a vital role in overseeing the governance and operations of the Certification Body and reviewing appeals related to certification decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in regular and ad hoc videoconference meetings (typically 30–90 minutes, up to 12 per year).
* Review reports and documentation prior to meetings.
* Contribute to decisions on complex certification matters, including exemptions, breaches, and appeals.
* Attend induction sessions to understand Scheme operations.
Skills & Experience:
* Demonstrated experience in accreditation and certification.
* Understanding of the RSPCA Approved Farming Scheme or willingness to learn.
* Familiarity with international best practice and ISO/IEC 17065 standards is desirable.
