Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) is looking for Cardiac Technologist to join our growing team on a full time ongoing basis.

The Cardiac Technologist plays a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic and technical support within the Cardiology Department. This position covers both the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory and non-invasive diagnostic investigations in outpatient settings. Working under supervision of senior physiologists and cardiologists, you will deliver safe, timely and accurate diagnostic services, ensuring excellent patient care.

The role of the Cardiac Technologist is:

- Perform technical duties in the Cath Lab, including monitoring physiological parameters, recording and analysing data, and assisting cardiologists during procedures.
- Conduct ECGs, Holt and event monitoring, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM).
- Analyse and prepare preliminary reports for Holter and BP monitoring, ensuring accuracy and timely upload to EMR.
- Assist with preparation, set-up and monitoring of patients for exercise stress testing.
- Maintain and manage equipment, consumables, and infection control standards across Cath Lab and diagnostic services.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

- A Science degree plus Year 1 of the Mayfield Cardiac Technology Course (or equivalent).
- Experience in cardiac diagnostics, Cath Lab, and pacemaker clinics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to educate patients clearly.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a regional health environment.
- Evidence of commitment to professional development, quality improvement, and patient-centred care.
