Asset Accountant - Finance Management

Your opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will assist in delivering the Timely Investment Infrastructure Maintenance (TIIM) program and all associated asset accounting processes for Mackay Hospital Health Service (MHHS). The role supports the provision of timely and quality information, expert financial compliance and accounting advice, reviews and planning in relation to MHHS fixed assets.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical advice on the interpretation and implementation of Accounting and Government Standards in relation to assets.
* Play a key role in statutory reporting for assets and serve as key liaison for external and internal audits of the asset accounts.
* Conduct high‐quality technical analysis and support the management team with the financial implications of proposals and initiatives concerning investment in assets.
About the Team
Finance Management consists of Financial Accounting, including Revenue, Assets and Management Accounting. The team provides routine and ad‐hoc information, analysis and advice for various stakeholders such as the Executive, Service Directors, Business Managers and Clinicians.
