Role Overview An opportunity to join a finance function in a permanent role, supporting enterprise-wide investment initiatives with a strong emphasis on expense management, cost control, financial governance, and back-office processes within a complex organisation.
This role is responsible for providing financial oversight across internal investment projects, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, effective cost management, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory frameworks.
The position partners closely with senior stakeholders to support commercially material initiatives, enhance financial discipline, and deliver clear, forward-looking insights.
Key Responsibilities Provide financial management support across internal investment and expense portfolios, including reporting, analytics, and cost management Maintain strong financial control and governance over investment-related spend, ensuring compliance with internal policies, controls, and risk frameworks Support budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of investment and operating expenditure, including analysis of cost drivers and variances Contribute to the improvement and standardisation of back-office finance processes, reporting, and controls Support large-scale internal projects and transformation initiatives, ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and control throughout delivery What We're Looking For Strong experience in expense management, cost control, and financial management, ideally supporting investment or internal project portfolios Proven ability to operate within financial control, governance, and compliance frameworks in complex organisations Experience working in large, matrixed environments, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders Advanced Excel capability and experience working with financial systems, BI/reporting tools, and large data sets Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience partnering with senior leaders
