About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales force, you will be responsible for maximising profitability, volume and market share through the growth of new unit sales within your territory.
Your primary objective will be to build relationships and gain new business with current and future clients to support our Townsville Branch. You will achieve this by promoting sales of our products to existing customers and seeking to establish new contacts.
Achieving profitable unit volume growth through new and used sales in the sales territory is crucial. You will also develop good relationships with customers in a competitive environment and provide technical knowledge to assist the preparation of estimates and tenders in accordance with sales and pricing policy.
Key Responsibilities
* Achieve profitable unit volume growth through new and used sales in the sales territory.
* Develop good relationships with customers in a competitive environment.
* Promote sales of company products to existing customers and seek to establish new contacts.
* Arrange customer visits to demonstrate the performance and suitability of company products.
* Participate in the planning and execution of programs designed to promote company products and sales and marketing activities.
* Give feedback to the National Sales Manager - Retail as to client response and interest patterns.
* Put technical knowledge to commercial use to assist the preparation of estimates and tenders in accordance with sales and pricing policy.
* Arrange the promotion and sales of specialised products and equipment of a technical nature.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Tertiary Qualification in Business Sales or Sales & Marketing, desirable.
Previous experience in Sales within the Material Handling industry.
Previous experience handling conflicting priorities and working professionally under pressure in competitive situations.
Excellent Customer Service & Interpersonal skills.
Intermediate to advanced Computer literacy.
Self-Motivated.
Great time management skills.
