About the role:
The Case Manager will work closely with families to develop their family case plan, identify barriers, and provide practical support. They will oversee case management activity, share parenting and trauma information with carers, and help children connect with local community services.
This role forms part of the Early Intervention Services (EIS) program, which supports parents and family carers who have children in their care. The program aims to improve safety and connectedness with local community services.
The EIS Case Manager Pilbara reports to the Coordinator Pilbara Service and is based in South Hedland, WA within our Intensive Family Support Services/ Family Care Support Services Program.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, as well as awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
* An appropriate qualification in human services or equivalent experience and skills. We value lived and professional experience, including that of Aboriginal people.
* A solid grasp of attachment, trauma theories, child development, child-centred approach, and resilience.
* The ability to collaborate effectively and liaise with community services, other agencies, and the community.
* An understanding of the child protection and out-of-home care service system.
