About The Opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
Assisting in the maintenance of playing surfaces, including setting up of greens, top dressing, fertilising under supervision, seeding, turfing, coring, and sprigging Assisting in the preparation of ovals for sporting events and carnivals Safely operate and maintain small machinery and plant, as required, considering the risk to self and others Assisting in the equipment and plant maintenance repairs including carrying out tasks allotted under the grounds and gardens maintenance plan Assisting in the ordering and purchase of materials.
About You
To be successful in this position you will bring relevant contemporary skills and experience including:
Knowledge of maintaining playing surfaces, including fertilising, seeding, and turfing Ability to assist in preparing ovals for sporting events and carnivals Skilled in safely operating and maintaining small machinery, ensuring safety for all Experience in equipment and plant maintenance, following the grounds maintenance plan Ability to assist in ordering and purchasing materials for maintenance tasks Relevant tertiary qualifications at Certificate III level, or completion of an apprenticeship For this position you are not required to be Catholic.
