About the Role:
As a Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Clinician, you will work within a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive mental health assessments, treatment, and consultation to women in the perinatal period, infants, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
You will be responsible for conducting psychosocial and psychiatric assessments of women, infants, broader family members, and engaged agencies. This role also involves working alongside agencies involved in the woman and infant's care, providing consultation where required.
A key aspect of this position is acting as a resource for and providing education to health workers within Barwon Health and in the community on mental health problems, management, and availability of mental health services specifically regarding perinatal and infant mental health.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced clinical decision-making skills regarding the management of risk in relation to children and hold a formal qualification in Psychiatric Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, or Clinical/Forensic/Neuro Psychology.
