Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with additional needs? We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Team Leader to join our Assisted School Travel team, supporting safe and respectful transport for students across the region. As a Team Leader, you'll play a dual role—providing safe and reliable transport for students and supporting a team of drivers to deliver exceptional service under the NSW Department of Education's Assisted School Travel Program.

Key Responsibilities:

Driver Duties:

* Safely transport students along designated routes and schedules.
* Complete daily compliance documentation (paper-based and app-based).
* Communicate regularly with families, schools, and the Operations Manager.
* Ensure vehicle cleanliness, roadworthiness, and safety compliance.
* Report hazards or incidents in line with WHS policies.
* Promote a culture of safety, inclusion, and respect.

Team Leader Duties:

* Foster a positive team culture through informal leadership and peer support.
* Onboard and mentor new drivers.
* Assist with managing timesheets and leave applications.
* Act as the operational contact in the Operations Manager's absence.
* Maintain the vehicle fleet database and coordinate repairs.
* Oversee driver training records and schedule First Aid/CPR refreshers.
* Prepare welcome packs for families and information kits for drivers.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

* Current Driver's Licence
* Successful application to the AST Program
* Police Check
* NSW Working with Children Check
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current Senior First Aid Certificate
* Ability to use technology ( Smart phone, Apps, Office 365)
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
