Assistant Principal Role
The Acting Assistant Principal plays a vital role in supporting students in the senior years at St Mary's Catholic College.
Key Responsibilities
* Faith Leadership: As a leader within the school faith community, you will share in the essential Mission of the Church.
* Educational Leadership: You will support learning and teaching as the Assistant Principal – Senior Secondary.
* Staff Leadership: In this role, you will develop self and others as the Assistant Principal – Senior Secondary.
* Organisational Leadership: You will assist the Principal in managing the school as the Assistant Principal – Senior Secondary.
* Community Leadership: Engage and work with the community as the Assistant Principal – Senior Secondary.
* Strategic Leadership: Lead improvement, innovation and change as determined by the Principal as the Assistant Principal – Senior Secondary.
Mandatory Qualifications and Requirements
* A commitment to sacramental life and education in the Catholic tradition is required.
* Professional qualifications in Education (Bachelor of Education, Master of Education preferred) and Religion are needed.
* Leadership experience: demonstrated ability in religious and education leadership, administrative ability, interpersonal relationships, curriculum development, and written and verbal communication skills of a high order.
* Minimum 5 years classroom experience is necessary.
* Involvement in professional associations is desired.
* Capacity for leadership within a school is expected.
* Registration with Queensland College of Teachers is required.
* Criminal history and bankruptcy check must be cleared.
* Current drivers license is a requirement.
* A strong commitment to Catholic Education is expected.
