About the role
As the Manager of Bluegum Grounds Maintenance – a certified social enterprise of NOSS Tasmania Inc – you'll lead a team delivering high-quality industrial and commercial grounds maintenance services while creating meaningful employment opportunities for people with disability. This leadership role combines operational excellence with social impact, ensuring compliance with NDIS standards and fostering an inclusive, safe, and empowering work environment.
What you'll be doing
* Leading and developing an inclusive team, including supervisors and supported employees, to achieve operational and individual employment goals
* Overseeing day-to-day operations to meet customer expectations
* Building trusted connections across all stakeholders—including supported employees and their families, NDIS support coordination, commercial customers, and community partners
* Maintaining equipment and resources to support safe, efficient service delivery
* Securing and managing grounds maintenance contracts and exploring growth opportunities
* Managing budgets, quotes, and cost control for sustainable operations
* Ensuring compliance with NOSS policies, NDIS Quality & Safeguards, and WHS regulations
What we're looking for
* Relevant trade certificates (including White Card) and Cert IV in Disability Support (or equivalent)
* Proven leadership and practical experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or related fields
* Strong organisational and stakeholder engagement skills
* Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to build lasting client relationships
* Sound financial management skills to oversee the budgeting and profitability of the division
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate a team
* Knowledge of relevant horticultural practices, equipment, and workplace safety standards
* A values-driven approach with excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
