Maintenance Fitter – Minto
About the role
Exclusive opportunity for a Maintenance Fitter to join our team at our Minto site to commence as soon as possible. You will be working 7am‐3pm Monday‐Friday (some OT required occasionally). The role reports into the Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out preventative and scheduled maintenance on all mechanical machinery within the factory and shutdown maintenance.
* Ensuring all relevant procedures and safe work method statements are filled out before maintenance tasks commence.
* Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve operational effectiveness of the factory.
* Experience with welding (MIG, TIG) and condition monitoring, and use of maintenance management system SAP.
* Adhering to safe work practices and reporting incidents.
What you bring to the role
* Mechanical trade licence or similar (Boilermaker, Plant mechanic, HV Diesel Mechanic) with prior experience as a fitter in a manufacturing environment.
* Previous exposure within industrial manufacturing, with routine and breakdown experience.
* Confined spaces and WAH training preferred.
* Solid safety focus.
* Proficiency in SAP maintenance system.
* First Aid, Forklift, and Elevated Work Platform certifications desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* A hands‐on attitude, strong problem‐solving skills, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
