Student Support Specialist
The Junior School Wellbeing Team seeks a compassionate Behaviour Support Practitioner to provide social, emotional, and behavioural support to primary-aged students.
This role involves providing a safe and nurturing environment for students to thrive. The ideal candidate must have experience in a school setting, a strong knowledge of child development, and relevant qualifications.
A valid Working with Children Check is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement behaviour support plans to address individual student needs.
* Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to provide comprehensive student support.
* Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed.
Requirements:
* Experience working in a school setting, preferably with children aged 5-12.
* Strong understanding of child development theories and principles.
* Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field.
