PhD Opportunity in Microbial Mining of Rare Earth Elements
We are seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to contribute to our research project focused on microbial mining of rare earth elements.
The selected candidate will be responsible for working on a project titled 'Microbial Mining of Rare Earth Elements (REEs)', investigating the use of microbial processes to extract REEs from primary and secondary sources. Laboratory work, including microbial culturing and recombinant DNA techniques such as cloning, transformation, and plasmid construction, will be essential components of this research project.
A strong academic background in chemical or biological engineering, microbiology, or a related discipline is required. Practical experience in microbial culturing and hands-on skills in recombinant DNA techniques are also highly desirable. Ideal applicants will possess a keen interest in sustainable resource management, biotechnology, and interdisciplinary research, with a proactive mindset and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team.
