Overview
The Senior Economic Development Officer will play a key role in driving the department's marketing and communications activities. This involves implementing strategies to promote the city as a great place to live, work, visit, invest and do business.
Key Responsibilities
* Support Marketing & Communication: Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns, including content creation, brand management, digital engagement and campaign analysis.
* Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other team members to ensure cohesive marketing and communications for the department, including managing e-newsletters, social media channels, and brand initiatives.
* Drive Growth & Investment: Develop and implement campaigns to build the city's reputation as a hub for economic growth and investment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Proven Experience: 3+ years of experience in marketing, communications, and brand strategy, ideally within an economic development or business context.
* Economic Development Knowledge: Strong understanding of the economic development sector and its role in supporting local business and investment.
* Writing & Creative Skills: Excellent writing and creative skills to develop compelling content and implement campaigns.
* Event Coordination: Ability to coordinate events and support business engagement activities.
* Research & Analysis: Strong research and analytical skills to provide actionable insights on industry trends and campaign results.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent stakeholder engagement and networking skills to foster partnerships and drive collaboration.
* Project Management: Project-management expertise to deliver initiatives on time and within budget.
