The Opportunity:
As a draftsperson at Wren Group, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of custom cabinets and joinery. You will work closely with our design team to create drawings ready for CNC production. This role requires a keen eye for detail and strong technical skills in joinery applications.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the following:
* Create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D drafts of custom cabinets and joinery items using AutoCAD.
* Collaborate with the design team to understand project requirements and specifications.
* Ensure that designs are practical, functional and easy to assemble.
* Revise drafts based on feedback from the design team.
* Nest jobs ready for CNC production.
* Work closely with the operations manager to resolve any issues that may arise during manufacturing.
* Work on multiple projects & ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
The Ideal Candidate:
You possess great communication skills, with a strong work ethic and drive to provide quality work. You will thrive in collaborating in a small dynamic team and have the following core attributes:
* Proven experience as a draftsperson, preferably in joinery, cabinet making or furniture design industry.
* Proficient in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or similar programs.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
* Ability to understand the assembly of joinery items.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes related to joinery.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
