About the opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team based in Hendra.
Reporting to the General Manager – Media & Signage, you will play a critical support role by providing expert leadership, guidance, and direction on all workplace health and safety matters.
You will be responsible for driving a strong safety culture across the business and ensuring full compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
Key responsibilities
Engage and collaborate with Internal stakeholders to identify and implement leading HSE practice and continuous improvement
Serve as an enabler of HSE performance
Develop strong and effective relationships with clients and operational teams
Champion initiatives that drive a positive and proactive HSE culture
Provide clear and accurate advice on HSE matters
Design safety systems and processes that are practical, effective, and aligned with real work - not just documentation
Provide support, coordination and advice of HSE practices, systems and procedures
Drive effective assurance programs to ensure that the business always complies with legislation, codes, and licence requirements
Support hazard identification, risk assessment and control effectiveness at business and operational level
Support HSE incident Investigations then prepare and communicate learning events as appropriate across the organisation
Coach and mentor leaders and frontline teams to enhance safety capability and awareness
Perform Return to Work coordination as required and liaise with occupational physicians to support proactive return-to-work
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a HSE role or within a related industry
Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (minimum requirement)
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) - desirable
A positive attitude with a sense of fun and humour
Warm and approachable, able to build trust quickly
Comfortable working out in the field and engaging with teams - not just working behind a desk
Open-minded, adaptable, and willing to shift perspective when presented with new information
Confident in constructively challenging outdated practices to support continuous improvement
