An exciting opportunity has become available in our Children, Youth, Families and Employment stream for the Elements Program Worker role.
Job Description
About the Role:
The Elements program provides crucial supports to the community in assisting to strengthen relationships by providing high-quality counselling, relationship education services, and group work to individuals, couples, families, and children that focus on respect, understanding and destigmatising mental health, as well as promoting healthy communication and improved family functioning.
These services will focus primarily on early intervention and prevention and will be targeted to critical family transition points including formation, extension, and separation. By building capacity for families to access services and increasing connection in the community, the Elements program promotes continued family resilience, health and wellbeing.
This part time role of 52 hrs per fortnight is based in Lismore and will involve therapeutic intervention supports for families accessing the program.
Desired Skills and Experience :
* Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in health, psychology, social work, social science or social welfare, health promotion or similar
* Demonstrated experience providing high quality customer-centred individual and/or family therapeutic interventions.
* Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with all people to ensure effective relationships
* Demonstrated well-developed organisational, time management and administrative skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
* Demonstrated experience in maintaining professional boundaries while engaging in person-centred work
