Overview
We are seeking motivated and customer service-focused individuals to join our team in the role of Steel Sales/Storeperson. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to our operations.
Responsibilities
- Pick and pack steel orders, operating the band saw and gantry crane after training
- Load and unload trucks using an overhead gantry crane
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain a solid focus on safety in all tasks
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
- Assist with other duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not required
- Safety conscious and aware of best practices in a warehouse setting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Day-to-Day
- Work the day shift from 7am-3pm, Monday to Friday
- Collaborate with other team members to fulfill customer orders and meet delivery deadlines
- Maintain a neat and organized work area
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
- Adapt to changing priorities and tasks as needed
- Maintain a positive and proactive attitude to contribute to a productive work environment
